The ghostly wartime aviators that still haunt Rougham Airfield in Suffolk, including one who fancies himself as a ladies’ man.
Now this fully restored control tower is said to be haunted, with reports of ghostly figures, whistling, bangs and taps, along with a strong sense of being watched. 9 Guests recently on the last sleepover event in April 2019 witness teddy bear moved on its own about 6 inches along with a full apparition of a small boy.
On previous investigations here, people have picked up on a strong smell of smoke, and several guests have heard prop planes flying over, and when the sky has been checked, it has been clear! The tannoy has been heard by guests, even though it has been disconnected!!!
Two names have been picked up by several different guests, Michelle from the ghuk team were amazed to see a figure walk through the large room on the ground floor of the tower!
An American airman who was badly burnt, is said to haunt the area near the base room. A playful spirit in one of the nisson huts has links to one of the object in there, and several guests have guest correctly what it is. Witnesses talk to playful spirits hiding in Nissen huts, the ghost of an airman whose plane burst into flames is seen close to the base room, the control tower itself leaves people feeling uneasy and a pair of ownerless feet have even been spotted.
So much going on, for such a small site. Will you be brave enough!
