Ghost Hunt UK goes camping for a spooky sinster weekender of ghost hunting, This is such a popular location, for another investigation.The haunted airfield at Rougham and the ghost who prefers the company of the ladies.

Arrive and be greeted by one of our team members on Friday the 6th August anytime from 3pm to 6pm arrival latest. They will guide you in the right direction where you can pitch up your tent for the weekend. Make sure you bring with you your tent and sleeping equipment along with your warm bedding. There are toilets available 24 hours a day on site.

However, there are no access to showers. We recommend that you either bring a wash bag where you can wash in the basins on site in the toilets or wash in your tent. Please remember to bring your cooking equipment to cook your dinners and breakfast on site or simply order your food in from the local takeaways.

BBQ are permitted but must be disposed of correctly and clean away after use. There will be electrical points that you can charge your phones and devises and you will have 24 hour access to hot water. You can during the day enjoy camping on site with your friends and chill for the day before the night-time investigation starts. You could explore the wonderful town of Bury St Edmunds with a Saturday market and the beautiful abbey gardens or you could explore the wonderful cathedral just a 10 min drive away from site.

The first nights investigation does not start till 8pm this gives you time to relax cook your dinner or bbq and set up your tents for the weekend.


Rougham Airfield was constructed in 1941 and became the home of USAF 8th Group which was equipped with B17 bombers. Over 3000 people were based at this station during WW2 and lost a total of 153 bombers in combat.


Paranormal History

The ghostly wartime aviators that still haunt Rougham Airfield in Suffolk, including one who fancies himself as a ladies’ man. reports of ghostly figures, whistling, bangs and taps, along with a strong sense of being watched. 9 Guests recently on the last sleepover event in April 2019 witness ​​ teddy bear moved on its own about 6 inches along with a full apparition of a small boy.


On previous investigations here, people have picked up on a strong smell of smoke, and several guests have heard prop planes flying over, and when the sky has been checked, it has been clear! ​The tannoy has been heard by guests, even though it has been disconnected!!!

Two names have been picked up by several different guests, Michelle from the ghuk team were amazed to see a figure walk through the large room on the ground floor of the tower!


An American airman who was badly burnt, is said to haunt the area near the base room. A playful spirit in one of the Nissan huts has links to one of the objects in there, and several guests have guest correctly what it is. Witnesses talk to playful spirits hiding in Nissen huts, the ghost of an airman whose plane burst into flames is seen close to the base room, the control tower itself leaves people feeling uneasy and a pair of ownerless feet have even been spotted.


So much going on, for such a small site. Will you be brave enough!


Investigation Includes:

When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our team and you will be placed into a small group. Once introductions have been made and the team have run though the health and safety. You will explore different parts of the building throughout the evening with your team member. You will get the chance to conduct some amazing experiments such as Ouija Boards, Table Tipping, Glass Moving vigils and our up-to-date ghost hunting equipment. We will be using the most active areas of the venue throughout the night and you will be guided through this terrifying process by our friendly and capable team. Included near the end of your evening you will be able to go off and explore for an hour to yourself using what equipment you would like. Do you dare to explore the unknown?
